Let Us Rejoice & Give the Glory to the Lamb

Revelation 19:7 says, “Let us rejoice and exult, and let us give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” The following chapters identify New Jerusalem as the Lamb’s wife (21:2, 9-11)

New JerusalemI was praying this verse last week. I realized that, although the verse speaks about preparation of the Lamb’s wife, all the glory is to Him. The wife’s prepara-tion is not for herself, but rather releases more rejoicing and glory to the Lamb.

This is the same as New Jerusalem. The city is full of the glory of God (21:11), expressing God and the Lamb by radiating God throughout the new creation. This reminded me of a hymn; here is one verse (words and music):
__The Bride eyes not her garment,
____But her dear Bridegroom’s face;
__I will not gaze at glory,
____But on my King of grace:
__Not at the crown He giveth,
____But on His pierced hand;
__The Lamb is all the glory,
____And my eternal stand!

Let us rejoice and exult, and let us give the glory to the Lamb! Glory to Him now and in New Jerusalem!

  1. We are now in the process of being prepared as the bride of Christ. And one day, the bride will be ready. Then, Hallelujah, there will be much glory to the Lamb!

    In the weddings today many people are waiting for the bride to get ready, and when she comes, all eyes are on her. In our wedding with the Lord, all eyes are on the bride, and the Lamb gets all the glory! Hallelujah!
